And with that

they are both gone.

House already feels empty. Our female cat was ticked and went to her cat house and started whipping her toys out.....her way of letting people know she is unhappy.

I drove 5 hours today. An hour there and back to pick DS1 up from the inlaws. They are so good to him. The brothers all hugged him. Her mom hugged him and started crying saying "I don't know how you do this."

Then we drove to the city and dropped him off. I watched him go through security and then made the  trip home.

I made DS2 spaghetti and meatballs for supper and helped him pack.

And just now he has driven off. He will get to his place around 10 PM tonight. He always picks the darkest, coldest times to drive.

DS1 is due to arrive at his home airport by 11:30, if there are no delays in his connecting.

Gosh it was good to have them home but it went far far too fast.

Just heard from DS1 at his layover. Apparently the documents he needs as a Canadian going to school in the US are supposed to be renewed yearly. We were told they were good for his whole time down there unless he changed schools or majors. Confused on why customs is catching this now, when it would have 'expired' in spring of this year and he has entered once already in August. They let him in but not happily. He has 30 days to get documents notarized and mailed off. Why do I get the feeling this is going to cost me big bucks yet again? Murphy takes one more kick at Jolie's 2015 ass.

It's bitter sweet having them home, only to have them leave so quickly. I read your comment-what a bother.

Sorry you're dealing with an empty house again. I would that that would be very hard. Hugs, Jolie!

I know at my work is doesn't cost anything for our members to get documents Notarized - I wonder if the school will have a similar thing for international students. Hopefully it all gets straightened out; what a learning curve with all these little things.
