Quieter Sunday

I was honestly surprised by my energy level this past week. It came to a screeching halt today when I woke up super tired and feeling like I had been  on a week long bender, with a little colitis thrown in for good measure. There was a lot of HGTV, some Canada Jr hockey and Netflix.

I made some cookies for the kids and made up tacos for his supper as per his request. There was another hockey game last night but it just wasn't in the cards for me. Too bad really as there was a shoot out last night. Fans bid on the registered players. The winner player's bidder wins a portion of the money.  There were five special guest shooters last night - DS and four of his alumni from their year.

I listened on the radio but it was happening at the same time as the post game interview with the coach so it was tough to hear a lot of details.  I was so pleased to hear the emotion in the coach's voice as he spoke about how good it was to have 'his boys' home again.

DS2 sent me a few more pics tonight. He said it sure rains a lot there. They venture out, but quickly get soaked.  Here are some pics from the deck of their house, and from Port Rupert Harbour.  DS is in one of the pics looking at the boats.

It was SO nice not to set an alarm tonight. Blessed.

That's really sweet for DS1 coach, I'm sure it meant just as much to your son to be back as well :)

It did. He looked like a big black lab reunited with his extended family :-)
