When I was doing some of my 'woo hoo school's out' cleaning last week, I found an envelope of Canadian Tire Money (Paper rewards dividends for those who are not from Canada). It was quite a hefty lil envelope so I curled up to count the mounds of 5 cents, 10 cents etc
It added up to quite a lot. I had over $30. I checked in my vehicle and in my drawers and found myself with $40 of the colourful paper not money.
I had been wanting to find a floating shelf for my son's room. I've seen them on design shows and they just seem so slick and so nice without the brackets below, all exposed.
Fortunately for me, they are $34.99 plus tax so I had just enough money. I felt a bit weird handing over this big pile of fake money. It took her forever to count it. But in the end, I got a lovely shelf. For free.
It wasn't horribly hard to put up. Looks great in his room.

Woohoo that's awesome. I used to work at CT in my high school days. I had someone come in with over $200 worth! Wow! Sure adds up :)

Ha ha! Now that I work at CT I can't believe how many people actually PAY for stuff with the "money." The most I've had so far is almost $50 worth, but it really does add up. I never used to keep mine, but I am now!
