What's that raquet????

Well good news on the broken raquet dilemna.

They took it back today with the receipt. They were prepared to exchange it for one just like it, though we weren't sure if we wanted the same one (in case it had the same problems). Unfortunately they did not have one just like it in stock.

Along comes the assistant manager of the sports section, who just happened to be DS1's assistant coach for hockey this year. He happily exchanged it for a raquet worth $40 more than the one I had bought him, and with a better case.

Needless to say, DS1 is excited beyond all belief.

Lessons learned: it pays to keep receipts, to be polite when wanting to exchange broken products, and to be nice to your assistant coach during the season. :P

Now we just have to figure out how to go about exchanging his Bauer hockey sticks, which they announced nationwide yesterday have dangerous amounts of lead in them.
