Annual Expenses

As I tinker with the changing budget I am checking to be sure I haven't forgotten anything as I prepare. Currently, I am taking $50 a month and tucking it into a savings account to manage the annual expenses as they come up. I am hoping to add to this the vehicle plates of $1000 as I spoke about the other day. Here is how it looks so far.

Annual Expenses

CAA -  $110.00
Costco -  $60.00
Taxes -  $85.00
Driver’s Licence  -  - $25.00
Vehicle Plates (General Insurance)  - $1000.00 est
Vehicle Package Policy -  $320.00

Total Expenses $1600.00

Amount to set aside per month $135.00

This amount is quite do-able. Once the monthly committment to the plates is done in August and I pay for the full year in advance, I will simply take $85 of the current $87 that comes out now for the plates, and move them to the annual expenses account. Sounds simple. Things never work out that way, but right now, it sounds simple :-)

Don't forget any credit cards that have annual fees!

I will have to check the CC. I downgraded and then MC changed their card fees this past year.

Teacher fees come directly off the cheque and change from year to year depending on a variety of factors. Fortunately they come off in the fall when I have maxed out on EI and CPP so it doesn't affect my regular budget.

Great ideas Ladies. ty
