One of the great ways of getting snowflakes in my world is rolling change. I prefer to do it the old fashion way.....counting and rolling it allll by myself.
One roll of each of the coin denominations will net me $92.50 to be precise. So I am shooting for $100 in coins rolled for the end of February. I will then take that snowflake$ and plop it down as lump sum on my loan. simple as ABC
Why February? you ask? I have NO clue LOL Just sounds good :P
The challenge will be to NOT precount and roll as I go so it can be a surprise.

I'm doing more of this this year, too. I won't say I love to roll coins, but I do it once a month or so and find it surprisingly lucrative. :) I've currently got about $100 rolled and ready to put on my Visa on Monday. Good luck with your snowflakes again this year!
I like to roll my own coins too. I just can't see spending the money for coinstar. It's convenient, but I think it's about $8 for $100. I can take that $8 and spend it elsewhere, or put it on a loan, lol.
I'm a big fan of rolling money too!! Except I hardly seem to use cash anymore so it takes FOREVER to amount to anything I can roll!

I must confess though that I need premolded tubes to do it. I am simply not co-ordinated enough to use the flat ones, or worse yet, the ones that you had to roll and then paste together! LOL
It's definitely easier to get more change if you spend only cash and when I did that for three months last year, I found myself with a LOT of change. Less so now.
