1 Canadian dollar equals
77 cents USD
I will be the first to admit that I understand only so much of how our dollar exchange goes up and down. I read. Honest I do :-)
All I know is that one of my daily routines is to check where the dollar is at, and this rate makes me sad.
At the start of August, 2014 when I was getting DS1 ready to go down to the States, the rate was 91 cents. I should have borrowed on my line of credit to get a ton. How naïve I was.
A quick scan of the last year history shows that today is the lowest it's been since I started paying attention regularly.
Here's hoping it gets back up a little higher before he leaves for school. I have tuition money to convert and Semester 1 $.

Ugh, I know. I'm thinking about our trip to the states in the fall and wondering if I should buy a little bit now. It's all a guessing game but it does not look good for the Loonie right now. :(
Yikes, I can see in a case like yours it is quite worrisome. They say it's the lowest in the last 6 years.
I'm going to Europe in September and the $ against the Euro is quite low too :(
