Especially sweet will be that two of my nieces are expecting as well so there will be that promise of future coming.
A few of us gathered at Sister 1's last night to have supper and catch up. She always prepares way too much food. I think she was starved in a past life. It's good for my boys to spend time around their cousins, especially since most of them are so much older than them.
After church today we will go to my mom's to eat. She spent Saturday cooking a turkey, ham, buns, pies and all those good things so that people may come, eat, share company and then head to their various homes.
This will be the first year that the Easter Bunny did not stop at our house. I honestly forgot and don't have the cash to make it happen. They will get treats at gram's. They already got their Easter clothes presents: a hoodie, shorts and 2 t shirts each.
The best non family part of Easter...................... JELLO EGGS. my favourite are the green ones.

Jolie, it's crazy buying chocolate... I spent over 20.00 and it didn;t buy very much... Yeah for jello eggs... and your boys are old enough to understand. If they really want chocolate, let them go today and buy what's left... Always good deals after the holiday!

The Jello Eggs are all homemade. You can buy the moulds and the recipe comes with the pack. My mom makes dozens of them. Here is the link from kraft.

Happy Easter! I think my kids (my youngest is 14) would be very sad if "Easter" didn't arrive at our home...so I did fill up easter baskets. However, each year they get smaller and smaller.....thankfully.
I've never heard of jello eggs before. Sounds super yummy! I think I might try them next year.
I used to make Jello eggs every year for the older kids. They preffered them to real eggs. I haven't seen them in a long time. My little guy would love them! Maybe next year. :)
The boys never even commented. They had more than their share at grandma's as well as the lil goodie bags she makes for all the grandchildren, be they 14 or 27 LOL
