We went from frigid cold Monday and Tuesday and then moved to plus 5 yesterday. Today it's just below zero and there are big fluffy flakes falling down outside. I love watching them.
It's a quiet Saturday morning thus far. I was up at 5:30 to get DS1 off on his weekend road trip for hockey. They have a long drive ahead of them to the south of the province. DS2 is still asleep and their father is ice fishing today. Even the cats are asleep on my bed.
I am beginning to realize that the past 16 years have been all about my kids and I have lost 'me' in the journey. They will not need me much longer and then what? A lot of years of just me.
I did some housekeeping on the blog. I added a piggy bank to show what I am saving for DS1s vehicle plates.
I added/updated the other two pages. I added a few books read to that page, and updated my 2011 goals to the other.
I need to come up with a plan for the day so I don't fully waste it.
Have a good day everyone. Thank you for reading and for giving me places to go read too.
Tuesday, Nice weekend!

Jolie, I know what you mean about getting lost! I'm slowly finding out who I am again after 18 years.
I doubt if I will ever find out who I really am, as I have gone from Mum to Daughter-in-Law without a break in between, still she wont be with us for ever so best to make the most of the time she has left.
Love the Piggy Bank......
You're welcome and thank YOU for your honesty and soul-searching questions. My DD still lives with me but she is getting more and more independent and making big life decisions on her own. I'd love to advise her but she keeps telling me she wants to do things on her own. It's tough this letting go....because what will replace it? Scary, isn't it?
It is a big wake up call when you realize your identity is attached to your kids and husband. And when your kids do grow up and move out.... well the empty nest thing can be a bit overwhelming.
I decided to go back to school and do something for myself. It kept me focused on me and the journey was long but I would not change a thing. I am proud of me and my family is as well.
You will find yourself,,, just take a step and start looking. There are many opportunities out there...
