It feels like lately, money has just been flying out of the jars. Most of it is grocery based, but there is also household supplies, shampoo, make up etc. I have become so focused on having lots left over each week to use as snowflake for debt and when there is not lots left, I become disappointed. I have had to have some big talks with myself this week. The money I budget for the jars is designed for the things the house needs....and if I am only spending pieces of it, then either my budget is out of whack or we are really not buying enough basic items to keep the house running smoothly.
I have 9% left from the jars this week. It was just enough for a target I will share with you tomorrow.
I'm also trying to figure out how to take an excel document and put it on here like I see many of you folks do. do you just upload from your documents, or do you need to have it online somewhere like google docs????
help please?

Hi Jolie,
I'm not sure how others do it, but I do up my budget on excel, then do a CTRL+Printscreen, open photoshop (or paint), paste the copy of my screen, crop until it looks good, save it as a jpg, then upload it as a picture on to my blog. I'd be interested to know if there is a better/easier/faster way.
Good luck with your goal! Morgaine.
Hey there,
When I was on the jar's I worked similarly to Makky's Mom. If there was money left over, it stays in the jars until next time - it's money that is meant to be spending.
I also use print screen to get images of my excel documents.
That's how I used to do the jars...carrying over to next month. I confess the rush of taking that money and applying it to debt is quite intoxicating. My new budget comes in next month and the jars are cut down again and money is directly applied to debt, just as Makky's mom does. We shall try that for a couple months to see how the numbers work.
I hav,nt got a snowflake jar, I hav,nt had my jars for a month yet so I have no idea if their will be anything left over as I have given myself such a tight budget to start with. I am planning a trip away at the end of this Month and I was thinking any left over money will go towards that. But in future months I will have to have a better plan than that. So my thinking cap is on now !!!!
