We have drawn again on staff for Secret Santa. It's always a fun lil perk to those whirling days before Christmas. I have drawn a lady who is newer to staff. She joined us at the beginning of last year and works half time with us and half time with another school.
We have a $20 limit. You can give one larger item or you can give little things along the five days. I prefer the little gifts for each of the five days. More fun that way.chri
I have made arrangements with the secretary of the other school to put the items in my Secret's mailbox on the 2 days she is with them. It will help her feel more connected to it all.
I have found a great lil poem online with verses I can attach to each gift.
I am looking for ideas for the little gifts along the way.

I have never done the Secret Santa before, but I am going to throw out ideas anyway. These can be gotten relatively inexpensively.
Coffee mug, wine glass, silly socks, mints, an ornament, a chocolate truffle(if it's good, you only need one), a small plant, notepad, coasters, candle, homemade baked goods - like a small banana bread or cinnamon bread loaf, I can jellies so I would give one of those, key ring flash light...
That is all I can think of right now. Can't wait to see what other people think of!
We are doing Secret Santa at work too! Our limit is $20, we leave small gifts Mon-Thu and on Friday we all go out for lunch and give a big gift.
Last year for small gifts I gave out candy, a small votive with a candle, an ornament and a small snowman and gave a gift card to Starbucks for my big gift. Planning to do something similar this year too.
Starbucks has really good gifts at various prices, also, for women, you can't go wrong with a beautiful pashmina - I've bought several in the $10 to $20 range. Gloves are also an appreciated gift. (Of course I'm talking about things I like here lol)!
A couple of more suggestions:
-Handcream & lipbalm (winter is so drying!)
-A $5 Tim's Card
-A bag of jelly beans
-One-Time Use hand warmers
-Hairties (if she has long hair)
We are doing a Secret Santa at work this year and the limit has been set at $50, way to high I think. So I must work besides girls who earn way more than I do, or have less commitments.
Anyway I drew out the one staff member that I really don,t like, so in an uncharitable act at Christmas I am giving a gift voucher.
Last year the price was set at $20 and I gave a Dacquiri Mix set and some Chocolates
