Where the money stands

Debts

Mortgage - $37 436.26
Consolidated Loan - $25 434.61
Vehicle Loan - $870.29

Total Debts - $63 741.16

Savings

EF - $1350
Summer 2010 - $1000
RRSP 2010 - $450
Xmas 2010 - $500

Total Savings - $3300

Special Savings
RRSP Portfolio - $1000
RESP - $625

Things are trucking along.  Debt was reduced by $1300. By next reporting period, the consolidated loan will be gone. happy happy joy joy. After that it will be just normal for about 2  months and then I can start heaping things on the Vehicle Loan. I will be very excited when I reach that point and can watch that debt go down faster than it is now.

LOL it's easier to have a smaller mortgage when one has an 800 square foot house in a small prairie town. We have long outgrown it but cannot afford the $250,000 plus price tag that would go with a regular sized bungalow in our community.

Looks great! I've just found your blog but I love it. I need to get some of those widgets that keep track of savings and things. Love your blog!
