There are all sorts of them out there....Classics and Contemporary....Animated and ...err..... real people....funny and sentimental.
Some movies I watch pieces of. Some I really don't care for at all. Others are simply a MUST to complete the holiday season.
In no particular order, is my top 5 list of Christmas 'must sees'.
1) National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
2) How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original animated one!!)
3) Die Hard II
4) Muppets Christmas Carol
5) Elf
you can tell I am just a big kid at heart.
There is a huge list here on wikipedia. What are your favourite Christmas movies???

Christmas Vacation is the best! We watched it last night, and thank you for reminding me to watch The Grinch...LOVE that one too...the cartoon version! :)!
Die Hard II is a Christmas movie?
LOL It's a Christmas 'related' movie since it (and the first one) take place Christmas eve. I should have clarified. thankss.
Elf, the Christmas Story, the Grinch, The little Match Girl and the Tin Solider ( Jolie, do you remember when CTV use to play those in the 70's and 80"s?)
hah I wondered too about Die Hard 11!!
I LOVE Edward Scissorhands. It always reminds me of Christmas even if it's not really related to the holidays!
LOL Sam you bet, along with "Happy Birthday!!!" from Frosty :-)
CS is it wrong if I have never seen Edward Scissorhands?
I love Elf! Mine is probably Elf, The Santa Clause, Home Alone, A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life.
This is fun seeing all of them!
I have a soft spot for "White Christmas"
I would like to take you back to 1947, which was even before I was born. And remind you of Miracle On 34th Street. It beats all these modern Christmas Movies hands down.
An oldie but a goodie !!!!!
Hehe good list.
Mine would be:
It's a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th Street
Home Alone 1 and 2
The Santa Clause
Rudolph
D loves Elf and is surprised I have never seen it. We are watching it this week! Maybe I'll have to add that one to the list soon :)
Every Christmas Eve for years and years my brother and I would watch The Christmas Carol with Alistair Sim. It was just too delicious for words when Scrooge woke up "converted" on Christmas morning. Now every Christmas Eve my daughter and I watch A Christmas Story - which I'll be talking more about in my next post.
I LOVE the animated grinch. Nt so much the newer one.
